11.  AI Processing and Third-Party AI Services

Banksey uses AI technology as a core part of its Services, including for transaction categorization, financial insights, recommendations, summaries, and user interactions.  To provide these features, Banksey securely sends limited user data to our third-party AI service provider, OpenAI.


What data is sent

This may include:

  • user inputs, prompts, or messages;

  • transaction data such as merchant names, dates, amounts, and categories;

  • account-level context such as balances, budgets, goals, and financial summaries; and

  • technical metadata required to operate and secure the service.


How the data is used

This data is used solely to generate responses, insights, and functionality within Banksey.


No model training

Our AI provider processes this data under strict contractual terms.  Your data is not used to train, improve, or fine-tune any AI models used outside of Banksey, and is not used for any purpose other than providing services to Banksey.


Data minimization

Banksey sends only the minimum necessary data required to perform the requested function.


Requirement for service

AI processing is a core part of Banksey’s functionality. By using the Services, you acknowledge that relevant data will be processed by our AI provider as described in this policy.  If you do not wish for your data to be processed in this way, you should not use the AI-enabled features or the Services.



12. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website and services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.



13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law.
